Our Infrastructure
Our Infrastructure Model
A hybrid hub-and-spoke system for recovering organic waste, processing it safely, and returning nutrients to African farms.
Model Overview
A Hub-and-Spoke Operating System
Lima Africa operates a hybrid circular infrastructure model. At the center are processing hubs that receive, sort, process, stabilize, and formulate organic waste into agricultural inputs.
Around these hubs, Lima Africa develops decentralized producer and outgrower networks that expand collection, pre-processing, and production capacity closer to communities and farmers.
How It Works
The Five Components of Our Model
Why It Works
Why Hybrid Infrastructure Matters
A fully centralized model is often too capital-intensive and logistically expensive for fragmented organic waste systems. A fully decentralized model can struggle with quality, consistency, and scale.
Lima Africa combines both — capturing the efficiency of centralized processing with the reach of decentralized community networks.
Built to Replicate
Built to Replicate Across Regions
Each hub can become a local circular economy platform connected to waste sources, outgrowers, farmer networks, municipalities, and commercial partners.
